Hands are now imported into the tracking database, and a Heads Up Display (HUD) for these sites is also supported.

The software team previously added support to partypoker and Borgata, the two skins on New Jersey’s largest online poker network. With this weeks’ additions, the software product now supports the four major operators in the state.

WSOP and 888 use the same software, provided by 888 Holdings. The same software is used for 888’s dot-com and dot-country sites in Europe, already supported by HM2, so extending support to the new US-regulated sites was likely a trivial addition from a technical standpoint.

Cash game traffic on the networks may increase with support for HUDs, as it facilitates experienced players playing more tables simultaneously. WSOP currently sits in second place behind party/Borgata, with approximately 35% less traffic. 888 sits in third place, with just under half the number of average concurrent players as the market leader.

There has been some discussion as to the acceptability of HUDs on WSOP and 888 due to a lack of specificity in site policy from the operators. However, a recent response to a player query seems to clarify the issue, with a WSOP customer service representative stating: “There is nothing in out user agreement against their use so it is not a problem if you or anyone else makes use of these.”

Competing product PokerTracker added support for Borgata and partypoker in February 2014. Support for WSOP and 888 are likely not far away if the green light is given.

Neither product supports the online poker rooms in Nevada. Despite WSOP Nevada using the same software in New Jersey, the former does not save hand histories to the hard drive, making tracking support difficult; and, though ambiguous, WSOP interprets Nevada regulations as prohibiting the use of such third party software.

Configuring 888 Poker To Work With Holdem Manager 3

888 Poker writes Hand Histories to your hard drive. Holdem Manager 3 must 888Auto Import hands to display a HUD (Heads-Up Display). Once we successfully Auto Import hands into Holdem Manager 3 we can setup Preferred Seating. Notes:
  • January 2019 Update - The HH path in the new software to C:Users{UserName}Documents888pokerHandHistory. The new poker client auto centers your seat at the table. You need to configure this to match in HM2 - Options - Site Setup - Pacific - Preferred Seating. (10 Jan 2019)
  • Snap Poker - We are not allowed to display a HUD on Snap Cash tables. We are allowed to display one on the Tournament Snap tables but we are waiting for them to provide us with the necessary API/Files we need before we can add support. (26 Sep 2014)
  • Nevada - The 888/Pacific player pool has merged with Nevada (and Delaware) as of May 1st. Nevada does not allow the tracking of hands or use of a HUD because of the way they interpret their gambling laws so the New Jersey software had to disable that so the player pools could merge. If they no longer write hands our software will no longer work on their software. (03 May 2018)
